Beyond The Veil

For years, I've embarked on a profound quest, seeking answers to life's most enduring questions. In this journey, a consistent observation emerged: many people hold a remarkably narrow, often distorted, view of the Divine, frequently tethered to the doctrines of organized religion. When their personal beliefs diverge from these rigid frameworks, they often declare themselves non-believers, severing a connection that might otherwise offer solace, unconditional love, support, and a sense of belonging to something greater. This self-deception, born from an inability to reconcile personal truth with imposed dogma, prevents the nurturing of a genuine relationship with the Creator. Yet, even among those who identify as non-believers, a persistent yearning often remains – a deep-seated desire to connect with a higher power, a sense of something vaster than us, albeit outside the confines of traditional religious structures.  My exploration reveals that the concept of the Divine is far more expansive than the singular, often anthropomorphic image presented by many organized faiths. The notion of a God fashioned in a specific, often male, image, an all-powerful being dictating universal affairs, and demanding adherence to a strict set of rules with eternal damnation as the penalty for transgression, feels profoundly limited. This perspective raises unsettling questions: If God is truly omnipotent, why the need for intermediaries like priests or popes to grant forgiveness?
